Not a huge hardware store but the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Disappointing. They are advertising $10 off First Alert smoke detectors for Rewards shoppers. The check out person could not be bothered to run the promo, though I was in their system. I didn’t want to argue with only one check out person and two people behind me in line. Telling customers “it’s not coming up” though the promo is advertised as soon as you walk in the door is lazy and poor customer service.
I tried to shop local and order a storm door at Ace in Falmouth. The door arrived damaged from the manufacturer (delivered by Ace). The owner at Ace pushed me off to deal with Larson directly. Replacement parts were sent by Larson but were not what were needed. I purchased another door at Lowe’s. I twice asked the owner of Ace to reimburse me to which I have had zero response. I have found customer service to be very poor.
This ACE store has definitely not been following the basic tenets of the customer service standards that makes Ace Hardware great. Associates did not acknowledge me as I came in. When asked for the item I came in for the guy he said he thought it might be down that way, but didn’t move to maybe point me in the direction. (It wasn’t there).
