My mother was redirected here for some rehabilitation care after chambersburg hospital just barely tried to help my mother out with treatment due to ongoing health issues. The branch that they placed her in always had some sort of sewage odor when you walked down the hallway, there was too little staff that were always overworked to help care for the elderly patients in that branch, and somehow lost the easily recognizable blanket I gave my mother that every nurse who had seen it had complimented it. I understand that costs are tight when it comes to food services at a place like Laurel Lakes. At the same time, I have to believe there are a higher standards that should be maintained when it comes to the quality. It’s as if this place doesn’t even try. Patients don’t want to be there, obviously to begin with, but when you serve the type of food that’s served at this facility, it makes it exponentially worse. Very nice . Attentive, efficient, compassionate staff. Clean and well kept. My Brother in law is very happy with the care he's receiving and so are we.
