Called Tennessee's Biltmore by PBS, Falcon Rest was built in 1896 by Gorilla Pants manufacturer Clay Faulkner, who promised his wife "the grandest mansion in Tennessee." Business Review We had a great time! I went there once with my husband (we just did the tour and gift shop) and I went there again with the Red Hatters. We took in the show and had a delicious luncheon. I would recomend this to anyone. The history was pleasantly presented and the food was good. Mr. & Mrs. McGlothin were dressed in costume, seemed to enjoy what they were doing, and did a good job! We were left to tour the ground, the gift shop, and the mansion by ourselves.
