I used Dr Carter-Smith a couple of years ago with a lab mix that had been pulled from a county animal shelter. This dog had many issues but the main one was the mange and an infection. Dr Carter was so touched by this dog she had tears in her eyes and could not believe how sick he was. This was right before Hurricane Ike hit and she gave him meds and treatments for the mange and then had the staff call and check on him. I do NOT recommend – I love to support local business', especially when they are faith based. So I was eager to try out the new vet. Dr. Carter is a very nice lady but she doesn't seem to take the time to go over details about what is wrong with your pet or what you should do!! I took my cat in who had blood in the stool and after the fecal test she LEFT the clinic!! She did not even bother to let me know or say good bye and left me asking her tech all my questions who did not know what to tell me!! When should I bring her b... read more
