You can get a writ of garnishment from them but whatever you do, don’t try to call them about it. The machine puts you into an endless loop and doesn’t allow you to leave a message. ‘Superior service’. Right.
This is a collection agency, so nobody expects them to have a great public rating score. My issue is that they only claim to have contacted me regarding the debt. I never received any written notification. According to them they called but did not leave a voicemail (I don’t answer numbers I don’t know). Then they nearly tripled the original bill with fees. Shady practice looking to squeeze every dime they can while not doing this due diligence to contact the person with the debt.
Update: Talk to Gwen if you have issue with your account manager. She talks to you like you are a human. Still in a shitty situation but i was able to have a civil conversation with her which probably stopped me from driving up there. Apparently they filed wage garnishment in 2020. I wasnt able to appear in court because I left for boot camp. Account vanished from my credit report amd I didnt hear anything for years. I had a collections account on an ambulance bill from a medical emergency that occurred. Unfortunately this was not the only large medical bill I had from this emergency. I am so happy this month is the last payment because Heidi is the most rude individual I have ever interacted with.
