fairview south dale hospital is so unprofessional. on top of being judgmental. the staff in the emergency department are beyond rude, and unethical . the way they treat you is beyond inhumane. they look down on people, who don't have money, or the "good insurance" it's all about the money to them. iv'e told them before not to give me a certain medication due to being allergic to it. they still proceed to give it to me. Used to be good prior to merger- just went recently and nurses were not very professional, had to wait way to long for CT scan for kidney stone and I felt like I was in 3rd world country!!!! Could not believe what a contrast it was to how it was before merger. Stayed from 12-5 waiting and prayed I would not have to stay at this hospital.
I was admitted to Fairview Southdale Hospital on 11-16-2022 . As a retired RN I have to commend the staff they were outstanding, esp Erica L. who was OUTSTANDING. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On November 16th 2022 at 10:15am I checked in to Southdale ER with migraine and nerve pain. I was not able to feel my joints and in a lot of pain. The nurse tested me for flu which i knew I had it. I told her I came in for the other pain. I asked her if she can test me for covid-19 and she said she will. She ordered EKG which is odd because I did not complain about my heart. 2 hours after, doctor tells me that I tested positive for flu. I was okay but I’m not here for that. Worst ER ever. The ER doctor was so RUDE and condescending. I have a kidney stone and he acted like I was there just to get painkillers. Not knowledgeable at all about kidney stones! I was treated horribly-had to wait 3 hours for him to show up in the room and act like I was faking my pain. They took out my IV (never got painkillers) and told me to go home and try to pass it. HORRIBLE
