I would not recommend afternoon tea here. Afternoon tea at the Fearrington House in Pittsboro is priced similarly and is so much better that it really can't be compared. The tea was underwhelming and the sweet items were inedible. Some of the food tasted like it had been refrigerated for weeks. Most of the sweet items were flavorless or tasted extremely artificial. Our server was nice, but slow. It did not feel like an upscale experience at all.

I hope this was just a one off and will chalk it up to a bad night. Wow! Not at all the dining experience I have had at the @fairview dining room, Washington Inn & Golf Club in the past. Work dinner w colleagues from out of town, reservation / weeknight. I’m not sure I have dined anywhere in the past year where the service was this poor. Two+ hours for our meal, not once asked if we would like a refill on beverages, had to ask for more water. Expect we would have easily ordered more wine. We were able to experience this wonderful restaurant recently on Graduation weekend. Boy are we glad we did! From the moment we stepped into the room, we felt welcome, relaxed and invited. The wine selection, food and ambiance were all perfect for our special celebratory family time. Just as we were enjoying our meal, live piano music emerged and set the beautiful tone for the rest of the evening. All the staff were attentive and very friendly, making our experience a memorable one!

I had Easter brunch here with Isabel as my server. I am not exaggerating when I say that this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Isabel was absolutely incredible. She was very attentive, welcoming, and made our brunch one to remember. My friend and I could not stop raving about the service after we left. The food was also amazing. I had the eggs benedict and it was delightful. I will definitely be coming back and asking for Isabel again!
