A nice elegant choice for dinner when staying at the Washington Duke Inn.
I went for afternoon tea with my niece. The place is very classy, and it was quiet when we went. The service was good. However, both the food and tea were disappointing, especially for the price. The savory selections were tasty overall, and I appreciated the gluten- free items, but the various desserts were too sweet, too buttery/oily(?), or just not that tasty. We booked a big table (13) on advance for graduation weekend, and as we were still finishing eating and enjoying our drinks the manager (blondish with glasses) was very rude and basically kicked us out because "another table" was coming meanwhile 4 other tables including a big one in front of us were empty. Víctor our waiter was amazing and the only good thing about that night, the meat was over cooked for everyone, one of them had to be sent back 2 times because they kept sending it wrong.
