aka Grand Mackinaw Beachfront and Waterpark, booked with ****, 2adults/2 children. Compared multiple sites, all same hotel information. Upon arrival to hotel, it was dark, unlit, and the check in desk was closed, with a sign on the door to pick up phone outside building or use number provided. We were told to go to the neighboring hotel to check in, to receive our room key. We reserved three suites from this resort. It was horrible! First, one of the suites had air conditioning issues. The suites were over 100 degrees. Too hot to stay in. The front desk said they could "upgrade" that part of the reservation to another sister hotel, but we would have to four rooms now instead of three. So we were still going to have to pay for the room we were not going to use even though it wasn't usable! We fought and finally got some credit, but we had to pay more. What a scam!. Mold, air conditioner didn't work, wine spilled in drawer, knats, and 11 year old found bullet casing on floor. They refused to give us refund or rebate. They said 'it's not like it was a full bullet'. Said they would contact a sister hotel for a different room without success. We contacted sister hotel who said no one had reached out to them. They tend to lie.

Worst experience ever!!. No housekeeping for 3 days. No garbage taken out, no towels. Disinterested and apathetic staff. Faulty smoke detector in room. That started going off at 11:30 pm. Had to disable myself. Staff had NO IDEA, Not hardwired in, and batteries must have been dying. Room not cleaned but when we got back from our daytrip. The door was unlocked to our room and left unsecured. No waterpark as advertised and no breakfast on site. Shameful!!!!

We went to the********* hotel in Mackinaw City. I do not recommend this place and here is why. We reserved our room a month in advance to ensure a handicapped suite room on the ground floor. When we got there our room was taken. Check in is 4pm we were there at 330pm. There were 7 people with us They tried to give us a room with 2 queen beds and bring in a roll away. Oh and still charge us the $580.00 that would have been the price of the 3 queen bed suite. They advertise a Waterpark, this was closed and so was the pool, we ... read more

Our room was filthy. The weather stripping on the entry door was missing and we had hundreds of mosquitos and other small bugs come in over the night. Bathtub, sinks, mirrors all covered with them and in our personal care bags in the bathroom. Carpets had small stone all over, obviously not vacuumed. Screened door unusable as it was ripped loose on 3 sides. Entry door and bathroom doors extremely dirty, with obvious spill stains on them. Shower handle fell off when we tried to use it.
