For our 6th stay at the Fairmont Waterfront during last Christmas we had a bit of a bad experience. Recently becoming a Diamond member( which includes perks like use of the famous Fairmont Gold Lounge), I wanted to make sure that if I booked 2 rooms using my Diamond membership (one for my wife and I and a second room for a son and his girlfriend visiting from Toronto) plus another son who might drop in now and then ,that we would all be included in the gold lounge. Pre-cruise stays in Vancouver. This is a no-brainer! Our first time staying in a Fairmont, and we enjoyed every minute of it. The waterfront location is convenient to tons of food options plus the Canada Place pier is directly across the street. The room was spacious, modern, and the Signature Harbor View gave us a front-row seat to our cruise ship. We happened to arrive late at night and, due to my own mistake, I had accidentally booked our reservation for the following night instead of the current one. Samuel, who was working at the front desk, quickly resolved the issue and immediately put us at ease. His professionalism and kindness turned what could have been a very stressful start to our trip into a smooth experience.
