Many years ago I used to come here with my partner on Sundays for the big brekky. It was always amazing and beautiful surroundings to eat it in. Its a great place for a leisurely breakfast. These days, Im a disability support worker and i love bringing my clients here. We come fairly often and walk across the bridge and back, sit in the amphitheatre or grab a drink or a coffee and sit at a table by the water chatting. No one rushes us along which is lovely. We visited Fairfield Boathouse for breakfast and ordered the Boatman’s Breakfast, chicken tenders and the chilli scrambled eggs around 11.20am. The portion size was generous and the presentation looked great. The chicken tenders were excellent—hot, crispy and nicely seasoned. Unfortunately, the rest of the Boatman’s Breakfast was disappointing.
