The management here gave up our room on the day of our reservation, leaving us without a place to stay at 11pm when we arrived to Spokane. I had booked this hotel in April with my credit card and received a confirmation. They then tried to charge that same card for the stay on the morning of our check in day. The card on file didn’t work because in June I received a new one after it had expired. Not a bad space but the location in general is a bit rough, what downtown isn't nowadays,, no onsight food other than snacks and breakfast, no complimentary water. The campus being nearby is a huge plus not much else to walk to nearby.
GARY, who does maintenance, was SO sweet. We checked in to a bit of a dirty toilet/issue in our room, and he was so prompt to throughly take care of the problem, cleaning the toilet (including removing the leftover hand towel inside) and seemingly even bathroom countertops. He even checked in with us a couple mornings later at breakfast, unprompted - that was really thoughtful of him. Thanks so much, Gary!
