I’m a longtime Marriott fan, but this experience has left me extremely unhappy. I showed up around 10:30, had a pleasant and easy check in (front desk staff was fine), but things went south from there. 1. When I asked where was the best place to park and enter the building, I was told I could park out back or on the sides and could use those doors. A surprising great place to stay- great staff, clean rooms, breakfast was chicken and eggs not your typical hotel food. Perfect location with gas stations, restaurants nearby and highway next door. Will go back if need to.
The booking experience was terrible. I tried multiple times to book a reservation with this hotel both on the phone and online. I was repeatedly told that they couldn't make the reservation over the phone because they got a new system and it wasn't working properly. I only continued to try and book at this hotel and location because my extended family already had reservations and we were all trying to stay together because we were in town for a funeral. My husband travels for work and was staying at this hotel. He was outside in his car filling out work notes and responding to work emails and the manager called the police on him for being in his car too long. We definitely will not ever give this hotel our business again. If youre a FSE definitely stay at another location.
Stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Clinton for a wedding block (4 rooms, Apr 17–19) and it was a mess from start to finish. - Check-in took ~2 hours - Hotel did lock upgrades during a full weekend, forcing everyone to stand in line again - Half the keys didn’t work - One room (424) reeked of cigarette smoke - Another guest had a door lock failure that showed their door open with luggage inside and didn’t get a new room until 11:30 PM - Staff were slow, unhelpful, and there was allegedly no manager available Checkout was wo... read more
