Upon check after booking through hotels .commitment which was good we were told that owed an add5$60 but when asked the very rude young lady at the desk could not tell us what it was for. When we asked to speak to the manager she stated she was busy and told us to move out of the way because she had a line. I told her I would wait for the manager because I had Watford my turn in line. Our room was dirty upon check in. The toilet had not been cleaned at all. I had to use my facial wet wipes to clean it because there was fecal matter all over. They ran out of waffle mix, bagels, and bread at breakfast. The pool said, "closed indefanatly" or some other terrible spelling. I would never stay here again. The only positive was its proximity to the train station. I'm glad I only stayed two nights. Also, the staff did seem sorry that the room was not properly cleaned. I booked a room on 9/19 for a getaway with my husband, traveling 2 hours from indiana to Holland. Upon arriving we noticed the side door to the hotel didn't latch so the door was easily opened without a key. The shower floor looked very dirty, but i believe it was stained...It was so black we opted out of even taking a shower. The toilet seat was not secure so when i sat down on it, it lifted up from the backside. When we went to the pool spa area we discovered there was no water in the hot tub and was out of order. We attempted to check in on Sept 12 and when we went into our room we noticed the deadbolt didn’t lock. When we told the front desk, their solution was to switch us with someone who hadn’t checked in yet. Then they told us that everyone checked in and that there was nothing they could do. It was up to us to either accept a door that didn’t lock or to find a new hotel and pay for the increase in booking.
