The Fairfield is a solid choice - comfy new beds in otherwise kind of dated rooms. The TV was larger than in other hotels of this class which was nice. Regular airport shuttle was very handy. Would definitely stay here again.
Hotel is convenient to DTW airport and has a shuttle. Room was decent. However, I was disappointed by the condition of common spaces, carpets in particular, which are heavily tainted and need urgent replacement, in particular in the breakfast area, but also hallways. Soundproofing is not great, and steps in room above me were bothersome. Breakfast quality was pretty low. Overall a so-so experience.
