Treat customers like crap, lose business! Lessons in customer service: Found this dirty toilet in my room. After the “manager” was located by the breakfast person, he finally appeared out of an office behind the counter- showed him the picture of the toilet. He offered a non-apology. Blew me off to the point where I left my carry-on bag in front of his desk by accident. I found out 5 hours later when I got home to St Paul. Never again. I stayed one night at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Aberdeen, South Dakota. I chose the Marriott brand because I have elite status and generally have excellent stays. Not at this location. When I checked in the room wasn't what I requested on the Marriott app. The front desk staff didn't acknowledge my elite member status. When I asked to use a "suite night" he refused and said he wasn't able to as it was booked online. (LIE #1). The room I did get was possibly the smallest in the hotel.
