Absolutely wonderful time visiting Amelia Island and staying at the Fairbanks House made it the best. This was our first “full” bed and breakfast stay and it was excellent. The staff was friendly, made us feel welcome right from the start. Truly outstanding hospitality! The house is beautiful and our room was perfect for a couple. Ideally, I'd give the Fairbanks House 3.5 out of 5 stars. The shared spaces inside the main house and the outdoor grounds were very charming and well kept. We didn't interact with the staff very much beyond breakfast, but every interaction we had was excellent. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. The location is also fantastic and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. That said, I'd recommend visiting during the fall or winter. This is our first time visiting Amelia Island and our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It is truly incredible to see such a well-preserved piece of history, and I really enjoyed walking through the property and imagining what life was like hundreds of years ago. The tour was fascinating and the staff clearly care a lot about sharing the stories of the family who lived here. My only reason for not giving it a perfect score is that the limited hours make it a bit tricky to plan a visit, but if you are a history buff, it is definitely worth the trip. Fairbanks House

I stayed at Fairbanks House and eloped with their elopement package and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! The elopement package was exactly what I was looking for - all inclusive and left me without worrying about any details. We got to enjoy our stay and everything was taken care of.
