Sadly to say I did six months in jail before bonding out to consult the State bar of Texas about communication with this law firm and about their refusal to file my appeal. After informing the law firm of my interaction with the State bar of Texas my appellate's brief was filed within three business days, which could have been the situation several months ago, not to mention that I didn't have any visits with my attorney while confined.
