I just had the worst encounter with a mechanic in my 53 years of living. I pulled up at a neighborhood mechanic shop (Frank's Express) to get a New York state emission inspection done, attempting to support the businesses near me instead of traveling to the other side of town. I asked Frank how much it would be to get an inspection done and was greeted with a demeaning yet child-like attitude, and was told it was $21 pass or fail.
