I’m extremely disappointed with the New Jersey E-ZPass system and their customer service. I’m an E-ZPass Maryland customer, and during a recent trip to New York I was charged about $50 in tolls but over $200 in “administrative fees.” I’ve tried multiple times to dispute these charges, but the system makes it almost impossible. Complete Scam. Get your E-Z Pass tag in another state (like NH, PA, or even NY). NJ E-Z Pass won't let you close your account, charge you a monthly fee, and charges you an additional fee for a monthly email that only contains a link to your statement. They have a setting on their website to receive statement emails less frequently and avoid the fee, but the setting can't be changed - it resets back to the monthly fee even if you change it, locking you into the extra fee.
