Unfortunately attempting to get my glasses has been nothing short of a disaster. Two weeks ago I showed up (early) for a glass cutting appointment to be told the machine cutting the lenses broke that morning. I received no call or notification until I showed up. A week later I go to get my lenses swapped out of my regular and sunglasses frames.... and I understand that a risk taken when filling old frames is the frames may break. I recently had to get a new set of contacts. My eyes were giving Dr. Van Houten and his awesome team a hard time. After several trial contacts (and several days), we finally landed on a set that worked perfectly for my problematic eyes. The entire team is very patient and willing to work with you. Highly recommended!!

I have been coming here for the last 7 years. The atmosphere from day one until 7 years later has always been inviting! The staff is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable and at ease! They have a lot of tests they can run that my other doctor couldn't. I found out why I couldn't wear contacts, and I finally figured out what was wrong with my child's vision. I highly recommend you tey out Dr. Van Houton and Dr. Ferrin. They truly care about their patients!

Dr. Van Houten and the staff are incredibly kind and thorough. As a visitor to Safford, I experienced an urgent visual anomaly that I had no history of. Confused and frightened, they were professional, caring and competent. The office and staff were warm and inviting, helping me to remain calm in spite of how scared I was that half my vision disappeared. All is well, and I recommend this office with the utmost enthusiasm. Thank you Desert Family.
