As someone who has been wearing glasses for 23 years, I was shocked to receive yet another bill after my eye exam and getting a new pair of glasses. I’m used to paying around $200-$250 in addition to my insurance allotment. The day of my exam they showed me how much insurance benefit I had remaining, and I paid an additional $334 for my glasses. I was referred to Eye Center South for a scleral lens fitting by the VA. The process for the VA is for the doctor does the fitting and submits the order for the lenses to the VA so they can order them and have them sent to the Eye Center. Eye Center South told me the doctor that does the fittings does not do it this way. She insists on sending the order to her own supplier and makes the veteran pay $1200 out of pocket for the lenses. The new location is nice but the wait time in office has increased (3-4 hours). But what really is bad is it used to take two days to get your glasses, now takes a week. They have regressed in service time wise.

Nurses and physicians were great did not make me wait, but I've been waiting on dr Hasan better make sure you don't have plans through out the day when you come I've been waiting on him see 1230

This place is horrible! I went in to have my yearly eye exam done, as I was caring for a loved one nearby. When I finally got my glasses I couldn't see anything nothing up close nothing from a distance nothing. I refused the glasses, and come to find out they prescribed me progressive lenses. The wrong strength, nothing was right. So that was one wasted trip. They promised to correct the problem, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, they were to send the glasses back off with the right prescription, which later I learned I ... read more
