I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE, PART 2....having to use my business account to finish this review: A couple minutes later, Miss Kathy appears and opens the lobby window. She processes a refund for the room, hands me the paperwork and asks if I still had a key. I told her that I did and headed back to the room, stewing with contempt for the decision we had made to book a room at this place. If I could put a negative star rating I would. I spent 1 week requesting bedding and cleaning services. Now don't get me wrong, the front desk staff have been ver polite and helpful in the best way they can. So this is clearly and understaffing and management issue. I am here on business and this is the first time in a decade I have felt the need to write a negative review. The cabinets are falling apart. We booked two rooms for the national speech and debate tournament in Richmond. One room smelled like cigarettes but everything else was working. The other the shower drain kept falling in and plugging it, the air conditioner isn’t staying cool, and the refrigerator didn’t seem cold enough. We had to check out dinnerware and some of it was unclean. Had to buy our own dish soap. One of the outlets wasn’t working properly. Do NOT stay here unless you are insanely desperate. The quality level here is on par with an hourly hotel. The rooms, hallways and lobby smells like smoke, no front desk staff in evenings, pictures are not representative, poorly maintained, old appliances, staff don’t know how the business works and didn’t take down my late check in request so when I arrived they said I had no reservation. The side door lock is broken so anybody can walk in and the entire place is unattended by staff at night. I tried calling for help and th... read more
