Although the care I received was excellent, I had to call back for results of a test and was treated very rudely by the person answering the phone. Not only was I a patient, but I am also an AHN employee. I will never use this urgent care again, and would never recommend it to anyone else. Healthcare is busy, we are all busy, but patients deserve to be treated properly.
I went in with right-side abdominal pain, worried it might be appendicitis. The nurse practitioner, Leah Bond, assured me it was just constipation, even though the X-ray didn’t really support that diagnosis. She didn’t even consider a CAT scan to rule out appendicitis. When I voiced my concerns about why constipation didn’t make sense, NP Bond dismissed them and wrapped up the visit quickly without giving us much opportunity to ask questions. I was seen in a very short amount of time. Unfortunately 75 minutes later and my prescription still wasn’t sent to the pharmacy one floor down. I came back up twice to get them sent or written on a prescription pad so I can get them filled. They were not very pleasant or professional. The lady behind the desk kept telling me to wait so she could check in the people behind me. ( although I was already seen over an hour before that. I just wanted my prescriptions).
