I took 2 of our 4 cats here for checkups for the first time last week. We just moved to Winnipeg and after some calls and research, we decided on Exclusively Cats for a number of reasons: friendly and helpful with our first phone call, made sure we could provide all our cats’ health histories/vet records, and easy to get a hold of with follow up questions and booking. I phoned today to ask about a medication that this vet is known to prescribe for cats with HCM. The receptionist, Mikaela, was kind and listened to me. She said she’d ask the vet if my cat could see him. She called me back within the hour and said that he wouldn’t see her. I asked why and she gave me reasons like “he has never met your cat” and he “does not feel comfortable treating your cat”. Don’t ever try to pay with cash here they don’t carry change it should say that on the front door but that would be common sense

After nearly 20 years of bringing our cat to Dr. Broughton, we said goodbye to Bronco at another clinic in an emergency situation. Dr. Broughton truly loves cats and is great with them. As our cat got older, we took her annually to have her senior check-up, even though we had moved out of the neighbourhood years earlier. Dr. Broughton is very informative in explaining medical conditions and medications, and the support staff are very friendly. Even though having a medically complex cat is a stressful situation, the staff here make going to the vet actually enjoyable!
