I bought 3 Beautiful Red Ginger Plants a Rio Heliconias Lobster Claw and a Montgomery Palm. And my Friend who is one of the owners of Tap42 & BarRita in Ft.Lauderdale also Bought 3 Red Ginger plants and Golden Heliconia plants. And were very Satisfied with the Quality and Professionalism and care they took on Wrapping the plants and loading them on to our truck. I was in Heaven in this Nursery. Very Clean and displayed tastefully. Worth Every Penny.

About 1.5 years ago we drove three hours to get to Excelsa gardens. Purchased an Alpinia purpurata for $500. They picked out the plant wrapped it and put it into the car. Thinking my ginger would be premium quality based off the price. I unwrapped my new plant to find it riddled with disease. My entire garden is tropical plants. That’s what I’m good at growing. This ginger died after 1 month. $500 wasted. Save your hard earned money and just buy the rhizomes online they won’t be diseased and you will spend $15 not $500. I wi... read more

I visited from over an hour away, looking for rare palms. They did not have the palms that they advertised on their website. The palms they did have were in 50 gallon pots and would require a forklift to move. It seems they are only interested in selling palms to contractors. Looking for palm trees here is a waste of time unless you’re a contractor or are interested in dropping several thousand on full-size specimen
