They had a different selection from stores in the nearby mall. I was also able to speak with the owner who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Having a good sale before Christmas helped me find something I liked.
Went to Excel Jewellers to deal with a missing diamond (a side stone from my engagement ring fell out); also, I was due for a cleaning & prong check & rhodium re-plating. I had good timing during this visit, because I realized I was at Excel on the day their appraiser was present — I needed an appraisal of my rings for home insurance. I paid 1200$ to have my wedding band and engagement ring repaired (a broken stone), rhodium plated, claws tightened, etc. This took about 3 weeks. However, upon pick up, a quick visual review showed that one of the small diamonds on the side was missing. The company took the ring back to repair. I asked how this possibly could have happened, as the claws were supposed to have been tightened.
