It just doesn’t feel like a family setting as it use to back in the day. I have been a patient here since the early 90s before a lot of the staff has been there. It just doesn’t have a friendly atmosphere or genuine concern from most of the doctors. I feel more like a number and I’m no longer emotionally invested in this EVMS team. I am moving forward on my journey to find a better medical team for my needs.

I’ve been with this practice since the beginning! Downtown Portsmouth above the Wells Fargo location. I’ve had a wonderful experience with all the student Doctors there. Well, I had an appointment the other day and this check in receptionist called me up and everything was going well until she asked if I had my insurance card and I was confused because this was a follow up appointment and all this information should have been in the system. I don't feel like a number. They make my family and I feel like part of their family. I agree some residents aren't great. But they are students trying to learn as new doctors. So give them a break. Because a lot of them are absolutely amazing.
