15 min to figure out how to use it, then 3kw per hour
The EV charger itself is a level 2 charging station that takes hours to charge an electric vehicle. Hamilton needs one or (preferably) more level 3 charging stations to be able to charge EV's in just a matter of minutes.
I’ve tried twice in the past year. Never worked . Met a Tesla owner there trying to get enough juice to get to Missoula. He couldn’t make it work either. Ended up coming to my place to charge .
It works! But... it takes some perseverance. I used the QR code to sign in as a guest. It took a few tries. Then it connected and spun around saying "preparing." After 10-15 minutes I refreshed it and had to sign in with credit card again and it worked! (The next time I used this charger, I had to refresh several times over about a half hour.) I drive a tesla y. I got about 25% over 4 hours charging, which was enough to get me to a super charger in Missoula. There was another person trying to connect that gave up though.
