As a young adult, I could tell the spaces in my upper teeth were a little bigger than everyone I knew, so one day I decided to count my teeth, and to my surprise I counted 30 set of teeth instead of 32. I'd waited until I was about 25, hoping my lateral incisors would come but they never did. I took an X-ray and was told they're not there 🤷♀️.
