As a healthcare worker, I do not recommend Evergreen emergency. Staff was rude to my family coming into the emergency department early Sunday morning. We had stepped into the lobby waiting for the ambulance to settle my special needs brother into his room after needing CPR. Others in family also work in healthcare and did not want to get in the way even though the lobby was generally empty, my wife and I both working in other Emergency Departments, knew it would take a moment for his name to appear on their board. The Cancer / Oncology department is all about the money. Money over care should be their motto. We won’t try to keep you alive unless it’s profitable to us. Go natural if you want to live. This practice is very old and not updated to current times. They know nothing about supplements, nutrition, exercise or care about your overall well being. Look elsewhere especially for cancer treatment. Dr C should be a used car salesman not an oncologist.

I checked in at Evergreen and was told the wait would be around 3 hours, so I left before being treated. I never received a bill, phone call, or notice afterward because they had incorrect contact information. Months later I received a collections call for about $200 — my first notice that any charge existed. I understand hospitals need to bill for services, but sending accounts to collections without first making reasonable effort to contact the patient creates unnecessary stress and distrust.
