Worth a visit.
My husband and I have a disabled puppy named Bruce, which at one point, we were told may never regain his ability to walk. Since we had gotten Bruce, and before his paralysis occurred, we had nicknamed him Spruce Goose. Only after his injury/paralysis happened did we realize how unfortunately fitting his nickname was. Thankfully, Bruce has finally regained his ability to walk (albeit a little goofy looking), so like the Hercules, he defied odds. You could spend all day and never see it all. Well worth the price of admission in my opinion. Loved the 3-D movie and the volunteer tour guides too. The staff were so helpful and had great personalities. We are going back for sure!
Museum has great content and is well kept, very happy with the visit and what we saw.
Always an awesome experience going through the air and space museum. Always have different things to show. 2 years ago they had my dads army brigade in one of the sections and it was awesome to see my dad read all the information they provided.
What a wonderful museum. This is a must visit for anyone interested in aviation and historical aircraft and spacecraft. It got on my radar after an article I read and so made this part of a trip I had to Portland. There are some great airplanes (not just the Spruce Goose) and much, much more. Looking forward to visiting again.
I stopped by as a whim as I just happened to be passing through the area and saw the outside displays. I love aviation museum/aircraft, I didn’t realized at first how big and encompassing it was. I didn’t even realize thls was the place where the Spruce Goose had been re-located until I went inside.
You see the only aircraft in the world that was made in the 1940’s. A lot to do for any aviation euthanasia.
I had such a great time at the museum!! At first I didn’t want to go visit it, but then I peeked in the windows and saw all the planes and got excited to see the Spruce Goose! I’m so glad that I didn’t pass up the chance to visit! Next time I want to bring more of my family and visit the waterpark part of the museum as well. The people that work in the museum were so awesome and knowledgeable they shared the history of the planes and the stories that went with them they really made the museum pieces come alive. I will defini... read more
