Ugh. Love the clothing, dislike the shopping experience. I have tried multiple times and even spoke up kindly about it. They are down your back and in front of you constantly. It is fantastic to get advice and thoughts, and I do think they are great for helping fit and style. But you can't even concentrate from salespeople (and mulitple ones in one visit alone) approaching you in a way that leaves you no outlet. Came here with my girlfriend the other day and felt uncomfortable with stares and felt like I didn’t belong. I’ve heard multiple occasions that the lady’s racially profile there and I felt that. I didn’t wanna pull the that card but I didnt like the way I believe she was the manager but I didn’t like the way she made us feel
Walking around a few stores being greeted nicely but when we go into here we get asked if we are looking for our “mom”. We didn’t think she was referring to us since were adults shopping and kept looking around but she comes back and asks us the same question again. Get that it could be an honest mistake but not necessarily to come ask again. Honestly I felt disrespected and uncomfortable the moment I entered the store. As a colored women I felt targeted by the employees. They were just hovering and following me like I was going to steal something.
My best friend from high school and I visit Meridian 3 or 4 times a year. Our first stop every time is Evereve in the Village. We absolutely love all the ladies that work there. We especially love Jeri, Mary, Jackie and Chris. They are so sweet and patient with us. They alway have great suggestion. We have the best time, we always say it is better than Disneyland. Evereve is the happiest place on earth.
