Took 26 red oak and only got $353 25 of them 9' 6" long and one 21' long all averaged over 16" on small end. Never again, plain and simple stealing! Rip off. That's bull I measured them myself, been cutting logs my whole life and I'm 59 years old, I know what time a day it is. All of them would have made tie logs and by ur list that's .50 a foot. That figures at 13 per log rip off
Scam, Dropped 11 logs off 3 red oak, 7 white oaks and 1 gum, called several times and no answer till Friday, was told only $300 for then all. Said I would just pick them up, but they sold them before I even knew what they would give me for them, never again will I go to this mill, heard from others that this happened to them also, worth more in firewood, 10 to 12 ricks,
Stopped in to see if I could get a small piece of lumber for a project I'm working on. I was looking for a piece of hard wood. They said all they have is poplar... if I wanted oak or hickory it would take 2 weeks to cut a 2x8x8 piece. Seriously? A lumber yard with no lumber? They did manage to find a piece of red oak.. looked like they dug it up from a mud pile. The board is warped and dirty,,, not cut to any standard size.
