RE: Dr. Melville and his assistant--I think her name was Amy. After a fall recently, I saw my Primary Care Physician who ordered x-rays and medication, as well as icing and resting the leg and knee. Since the pain level had not decreased, I called today to ask what else could be done and my PCP referred me to the St. Luke's Orthopedic Clinic. It seemed he’s only concerned was whether or not I broke a bone. There are a lot of other things going on in the knee other than a broken bone. He asked me if my liver was OK instead of checking my chart then told me to take 800 mg of ibuprofen and 1000 mg of Tylenol at the same time for pain. I am currently recovering from a cold (that is evident by my froggy voice, sniffles and cough) and therefore taking cold medicine that already has Tylenol in it, but he didn’t ask me if I was taking any other medication’s.
