Took my Alfa GTV6 to these guys for a service some years ago. Car was running fine, they called me to say the big end bearings were knocking. Picked the car up and a loud knocking sound was there, as I said car was fine when I took it in. Who knows what they did. I should have taken them to court but I stupidly made the next big mistake, I took it to Mikes Auto Service(I think he went out of business some years ago).
