We needed some replastering of an old 1890s brownstone ceiling. Simple job - a section of the seam around the perimeter of a room, patched up - no intricate detailing at all. We not only overpaid but the job they did was incredibly poor for a straight line/ flat section of ceiling. And the individual working complained it was the ceilings fault. That’s their responsibility! Awful would not recommend. They were supposed to come back and complete some minimal work. They stopped responding. Do not hire these folks.
I recently had the pleasure of engaging a plaster repair firm for some home improvement work, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The team's dedication to maintaining the craft of plasterwork was extremely inspiring. It's rare to find specialists who pay such great attention to detail. They were able to reproduce the original plaster molding in such a way that it blended in with the original design - a talent that requires true mastery.
