As people from out of town attending a wedding, it was comforting know we wouldn't have to drive 45 minutes or more, in the dark and on unfamiliar roads, to a neighboring city hospital. No waiting. Try that in a large metropolitan area where you can wait hours in the ER at 2 AM, unless you are having a heart attack, stroke or bleeding all over from anything other than miscarriage. They are used to small veins and have all the equipment for babies or small children. But, If it’s a true emergency, like allergic reaction, go to the nearest emergency room even if that... read more

September 21 2024 due to a fall a friend took me to the ES hospital. My ribs were hurting terribly. They got me back very quickly. X ray was done quickly. That’s when the good service ended. I wear a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) for severe hypoglycemia. My blood glucose (BG) was in the 40s, 50s and 60s the duration of the visit. My BG was in the 50s approx an hour. Around 5 min it was in the 40s. Approx 20 min in the low 60s. The doctor discharged me w/ BG 52. My friend who brought me in is a police chief. In response to... read more
