I heat my home and water and cook with NATURAL GAS. I barely use electricity yet my EWEB bill is about what my gas bill is (!!!) Oregon gets most of its electricity from burning natural gas and coal (per Oregon Blue Book) so it is terribly inefficient and bad for the environment to use electricity. Good customer service, has a monopoly over Eugene When setting up new utility service at a house or apartment in Eugene, you have to choose EWEB (Eugene Water and Electric Board). In that sense I think they have a monopoly over the city, however, they do provide good customer service. Friendly staff on the phone and not too pushy.
