I am really impressed with the help I got from Jeff. He is direct and doesn't mess around. From the moment I got into my appts. until the moment I left, he didn't waste a second. I often left smiling at his efficiency and care. When I was overdoing it with my exercises, he talked to me about that in a helpful way. The exercises he gave me were almost all enjoyable. This was my first PT experience from a mainly "sports Injury" practice. They say they take other patient's needs, but seemed to me that helping someone recover from an injury is a very different approach than from an internally caused problem. They use the "McKenzie" approach which is virtually no hands on work (saying it creates dependence). I'm used to the need for home exercises, but expect a bit more from a PT session. Jeff is highly skilled and effective. I strongly recommend him especially for treating vertigo. He treated me so effectively that I was practically cured in one session.
I staggered in barely able to turn my head after throwing an enormous bag of compost over one shoulder. My therapist, Michael at the Oak Street location, worked with me over two months to decrease pain and increase movement. He listened deeply to my complaints about pain, responded with thoughtful exercises, and now I have full range of movement again. He's been a wonderful partner in my healing--highly recommended!
Tremendously helpful service. Very hands on and personable clinic. I came in thinking I'd lose my shoulder and left with it under control all without any medication or steroids.
