I transfered 100 shares from Computershare to ETrade on 02/23/2024. Three months passes and the 100 shares are still invisible on ETrade website. After so many calls, I was told the shares were put into the wrong account in Morgen Stanley. To fix it, I was asked to submit the account transfer form and Computershare statement. Terrible customer service. I have had an account with etrade for 20 years, and their customer service has become really bad. Literally months sending images of my documents and taking several hours on the phone so they can tell me that the image is not good. Resend docs and repeat! Etrade customer service is very bad.
Garbage company before the buyout now total trash
Overall my experience was average. They recently notified me that they weren't servicing my accounts anymore. I learned this after a debit card transaction was declined. I called them to close my accounts and have a very difficult time transferring my accounts to another firm. It's been almost a month trying to close my accounts. Also, none of the local offices are open. Would not recommend them .
had the account less than a month; was able to add an external account and add money to the account prior to being asked for verification of my account or who I am. Provided the requested documentation after a 7 day run around because you have to contact them for follow through, the restriction was lifted. The customer service is a scam. Prepare to be left on hold while they jerk eachother off. I immediately go to withdraw my money via the same avenue it arrived, and account is instantly closed.
