Avoid Estermans! Thought the young man I spoke to was terribly rude. I took in my scrap gold & he told me that the 22 karat piece I had wasn't gold at all & he couldn't be bothered testing it. I'll never go there again!
Esterman's Jewelers should be avoided I also took some scrap gold jewelry (all 14k or higher) to Esterman's and they offered 30% lower than my lowest offer from other jewelers. In addition, they offered me 150% lower than any other offer on a 24K gold watch I wanted to sell. You can get more than that at a pawn shop in the hood.
Esterman Estate Jewelers is Outstanding AND A PLEASURE TO SHOP AT!!! I don't know what David W is talking about, I have brought scrap gold to Esterman's many times and received excellent value for all my 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K, and 24K pieces. Amazing! Amazing staff and styles. This is where I got mymother her silver diamond necklace for such a great price. They are beautiful and classy styles for just about anything!!!! I would def., and without hesitation, recommend this store to anyone!
Nouveau Collector I love Esterman Estate Jewelers! I fancy myself a nouveau collector; however, I am not nieve enough to think I am able to make a purchase on my own limited experience, without having the item checked out at Esternan's afterwards. I was able to save myself thousands of dollars by consulting with Arnie, the Certified Appraiser at Esterman, and returning the items that didn't live up to the weight, clarity and value they were sold as. Kudos to Esterman.
Esterman Estate Jewelers should be avoided My family has shopped here for over 25 years. That will not happen again. Under new management for about 13 years, the quality (and honesty) have suffered. I was offered a ridiculously low amount for gold jewelry I was selling. They offered less than 1/2 of the scrap value for nice, clean (some nearly new) pieces they could sell for at least 3-4 times what they offered.
