I used to visit this place quite often and had the best time ever, especially their mushroom toast. Unfortunately, when I was visiting Edinburgh this winter, I took the opportunity to quickly pit stop in Newcastle, solely to revisit this place and even though the google said open the store was closed with no info given. I am very disappointed as I spent 3 hours getting here just for it to be closed. Not sure if I visit again.
I really want to like this place. The food is tasty and the drinks as well! But every time I go in, I feel like I'm interrupting the staffs day. It's not just been one occasion either. The staff always seem like they can't be bothered with me because they don't recognise me. I have seen them be rather dismissive to other customers too... they're not rude or anything, just always make me feel like a real outsider. Really good breakfast! I heard they do breakfast udon which isn’t something I’ve heard of before so I wanted to give it a try. 10/10 would recommend the breakfast udon! It’s packed with flavour and the perfect poached egg. I also got the Class Rooibus South African tea - 10/10 again! Highly recommend this spot for breakfast
Amazing food, lovely staff, good service, great decor.
Good for lunch and coffee. Tea is their thing, although I am not an expert. Food is Asian fusion and and very well made. Japanese breakfast a classic.
