I wanted to share what a lovely experience I have had with the Estate Jewelers over the years. I bought a fabulous 5 carat Colombian Emerald that is so outstanding people stop me on the street and ask where I’ve gotten it from. I had it appraised after I purchased it. The appraisal price came back at a way higher value than what I purchased it for. I have also gotten a yellow fancy diamond ring, and a Tanzanite ring. Love them all. Had them all appraised. I purchased what was sold to me as a Columbian emerald in 2018. I never dreamt it as anything but authentic. Before re-consigning the ring I took it to AGL in Manhattan for further documentation. I got the shock of my life. The emerald is SYNTHETIC! When I approached Angelia, daughter of owners. She accused me of changing out the stone, denying it was the original ring. I was scammed for 29k! Run… don’t walk from this business!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Highlands Estate Jewelry. Terry and his daughter welcomed me the moment I walked in and made me feel completely at ease. Went in to look. The sales lady was texting on her phone when greeting me. Didn't look at me once.
Great selection of new and estate pieces (which is why I visited!), fair prices, knowledgeable sales people, and locally owned and run. I bought a pair of diamonds earrings; cannot wait for them to arrive in their new martini setting in yellow gold!
