Lots if selection and a very friendly staff.
The staff at True Value are always very attentive, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about their products and the project or repair work you need to do. Granted,they don't have the selection or low prices a Home Depot or Lowe's would have but they are local, convenient and a small business, not a large corporation. The friendly staff make up for the slight increased cost but I probably save that difference in gas money by not driving 20 or 30 minutes one way to get to the big store.
Found what we need easily (ball pump needle, buckets) and the staff were very willing to help
