I was referred here through VincentCare for temporary accommodation, but the experience was very disappointing. The room I was given was unclean, smelly, and unhygienic. The bed looked like it had not been properly cleaned — I could not even sleep on it and had to spend the night on a bench. There were no basic facilities such as a plate for the microwave, cutlery, toaster, or even clean towels. For water, I had to use the bathroom tap, which is unacceptable. NEGATIVE STARS. Rang before the booking date to inform them that we no longer needed the room, they would not refund but said would keep a credit for future stay, which was fine. We tried to use the 'credit' a month later and the front desk could not find anything, nor could work the computer to show any historical bookings. Assumed the reception had noted it on their system but now they just say speak to booking.com, who will no doubt just tell us to talk to the Essendon Motel. If I could review with 0⭐️ I would be. We stayed last night , the room ( RM 5 ) was absolutely disgusting! The carpet was dirty and sticky. There was mould in the shower/bathroom. The fridge was gross. What had me absolutely fuming was the fact that my 2 year old son was found playing with a piece of broken glass , upon looking one whole corner of the room was covered in broken glass along with some type of prescription pill. I had a very good experience while staying here, the rooms were very good size and very comfortable to stay in and staff were very helpful and friendly. Would defintly recommend staying here!!
