I visited Mazda Australia Essendon this afternoon knowing I wanted a Mazda, but unsure which model was right for me. Walking in alone as a female you can imagine how nervous I was. The worst service ever. We purchased a demo CX5 from them in November 2025. After purchasing we were told that the previous driver had “misplaced” the service log book and that they had “run out of spares”. We were then told they would post one to us when their new arrival of service books arrived and nothing ever came. I followed up multiple times with the sales rep who ended up leaving the company and said he can’t help us out. Chelsea was incredibly helpful when we faced a problem with our car. Though the issue wasn’t straightforward, she went above and beyond to ensure everything was resolved smoothly. Absolutely appalling experience with the service department. I booked my Mazda MX-5 in for an urgent safety recall and, when asked whether I had any other concerns, I mentioned that the roof had a minor squeak. During the booking call, I was advised that a charge of up to $290 may apply. I made it abundantly clear that I did not authorise any work without first being advised of the exact cost, especially if the issue turned out to be something as simple as applying lubricant.
