ESSE Health – Do Not Recommend I have had sleep apnea since September, yet ESSE Health had no medical record of it. During my appointment, my doctor, Julie Macphee, told me that I had been given a referral to a sleep specialist. This was not true. She stated she would “give the information to the nurse.” After my appointment, I went to the front desk to obtain the referral information and was told there was nothing in my chart. Some great doctors but terrible administration and that flows down to the front desk as well as communications. My guess is they're squeezing every single penny and hiring the cheapest staff people they can find.
Extremely Rude Office Staff. Not professional at all, due to miscommunication with the accounting department (that was resolved in the moment and an error on their end) refused to check me in for my appointment. Manager refused to assist. Do not recommend.
7/29/25 Since the time I left my original review which is below, I received a notice from this company that they had a data breach and offered credit monitoring. They didn't treat me very well and didn't keep my data secure. Should have paid attention to the reviews. Staff entered my personal info incorrectly and kept me waiting half an hour while they corrected it, billed me for an office exam rather than a well visit (which is what I made the appt for) resulting in a $200+ bill. Their phone system is terrible. No one answers. I was trying to refill a prescription. They need a better communication system.
