I’ve been a member of LAFITTNESS since June 2016, is The first time I did Brenda’s water aerobics class I was impressed at her energy level and the commitment she has to everyone in her classes and job. Brenda is the best never will find anyone better than her!! They also have other instructors that are good as well. water aerobics is what keeps us Senior citizens moving.. We depend on it. When I first joined 12 years ago, this facility was clean and very, very busy. Over next few years, it fell into disrepair and even had a health department shutdown. This generated a plethora of well-deserved HORRIBLE reviews; several written my me. However, I must now state that the place, while far from perfect is much improved. I am going to this gym in Gaithersburg, but I am disappointed, I arrived at an hour-long training and they never gave me my payment of an hour and of course the guys in front who attend, some are very arrogant, others are cute, like the cleaning manager, he is a young man and he is a little arrogant, I do not care about dissipating, I help him so that they can pay for his work hour, they demanded to wash the toilets very well that test day, but I keep going to the gym, those toilets are with a Great bad smell. Cancellation policies violate the law and even the contract you sign, which says you can cancel your membership by phone. When you try to do so, they tell you have to speak to a specfic person who's only in at certain odd hours. Currently the FTC is taking legal action against LA Fitness for this practice, and it has also happened to me when dealing with them.
Having attended Premier Fitness in 2012 and then continuing at same location when it turned into LA Fitness I've been a member of this gym for 14 yrs. This is the worst management I've ever seen. The place is incredibly dirty. The worst class schedule. Unfairness with the machines where someone can get off a machine and "stretch" forever while others are waiting for the machine. Ridiculous. Shoneika and Ana are totally incompetent managers. Shoneika is incredibly rude.
This facility is ran by an incompetent Management. This facility is dirty. Do not dare to swim in the pool, as you will encounter all kind of debris and trash in the pool. The water is so dirty that you can not see anything in the pool. The locker room, showers, and Steam room are filthy, there are hairs and bandages in the shower room. In my opinion, the problem is the management and I emphasize, stay away from pool or risk getting sick with all kind of viruses and debris.
