My father had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment for reflux/indigestion either chest & back pain issues. He could only get in to dee the Nurse. They ran a few tests however didnt think to assess hos heart health. The very next day he had a massive heart attack…. Needless to say my thoughts on Esplanade are not publishable on a review. The GP also refused to allow my diabetic mum any further test strips for her glucose levels…
Elitist, demeaning, rude people. Taking into consideration the pressures of the NHS, you can tell the staff there don't use their own service. Everyone can't afford private care, I have two different medications and services I need to buy already because doctors don't do their job and all I want is to be seen by a real person. E-consult does not do anything but make people more anxious and felt unheard. Little point trying to get an appointment with a GP here.
Unfortunately, having been somewhat poorly over the past 4 months,I have had to liaise with the surgery quite frequently. I just wanted to say how kind,considerate and helpful the 'front-of-house' team have been. Whether its been to book a blood test,monthly B12 jab(!) or to sort out my current meds if I've got into a muddle! Nothing's been too much trouble and for that I've been truly grateful. The Esplanade Surgery should be very proud of its ladies on the 'front-of-house'! Long may their excellent service continue.
You get prompted to do a shitty eConsult. Tuesday 26th I did the eConsult, they told me they would contact me by Monday 30th 6:30pm to get an appointment (which they never did) so after chasing them up they've booked me a phone appointment on the 17th. How is that useful? I don't even get to SEE a real doctor. This could be done in an email, why are you making me wait 3 weeks with these symptoms???
