One of the first things I learned from Marcelo is that dancing tango is like painting, each movement is a brushstroke. He breaks down technique and explains it in a way that makes sense, so you understand not just what to do but why. He’s creative, patient, and encouraging. I went from heavy-footed and flat to light and controlled, even in heels…that’s Marcelo’s gift.

Marcelo has such a beautiful organic way of teaching. As you learn to dance you will also learn the origins, history and the essence of tango. He is really an amazing teacher that makes the class both exciting and fun. Can’t recommend him enough.

We in the Bay Area are very fortunate to have Marcelo Solis and his Escuela de Tango de Buenos Aires. I'm almost afraid to say how good his private lessons are for fear I won't be able to get on his schedule!
